Our Story
At Gator Clean, we are incredibly passionate about what we do, and this is for an excellent reason. Our daughter has a behavioral/learning disability called Kawasaki Disease. It was most likely caused by exposure to toxic chemicals, like those found in the chemicals that many carpet cleaning companies use. We had recently had our carpets cleaned and thought nothing of it. Until our daughter started showing symptoms of what we thought was the flu or strep throat. We had her admitted to the hospital, but she was discharged…but not for long. A couple of days later, she awoke and couldn't walk or even move her hands. They were swollen, red, and burning hot to the touch. We immediately rushed her back to the hospital, and eventually, we found ourselves at Orlando Children's Hospital, where a specialist arrived and asked the question.." Have you had your carpets recently cleaned?" …We had, just a few days before the symptoms appearing. He said her issues were most likely directly related to the toxic chemicals found in use by many professional carpet cleaners. They told us there was a 50% chance she would end up developing a hole in her heart, but thankfully this did not happen, but she now disabled.
